Clintonville Go Public Board Members
Erin Bauer | Chair
Erin and her family moved to Ohio sight unseen in 2010 and were lucky to have found a welcoming community in Clintonville. She and her husband Dave have daughters in first and fifth grades at Clinton Elementary. Erin taught middle school math for nine years in the Dallas, Texas private school community before changing her focus to one-on-one math tutoring. Erin also leads her daughters' Girl Scout troops, serves as President of the Clinton PTA and is involved in various community organizations.
Tanya Bender | Co-Chair
Tanya is a Senior Art Director in the Creative Services/Marketing Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University and moved to Columbus soon after, residing in Clintonville since 1994. In the past, Tanya has served on committees at her church, King Avenue UMC, as well as on the Indian Springs Elementary School PTA board. Tanya and her husband Chad have two children who graduated from Indian Springs Elementary and who are currently enjoying Dominion Middle School. Tanya continues to be active in numerous school initiatives that help foster community and achieve educational goals.
W. Adam Pratt | Secretary
Elected to the Go Public board in 2018, Adam has lived in Clintonville since 2014 with his wife, Stephanie Wilder, and their daughter, Harper. After graduating from Denison University, Adam & Stephanie settled in the Pleasant Ridge neighborhood of Cincinnati. During their 11 years in the community, he served as Vice President of Business Development for the non-profit Pleasant Ridge Development Corp., as well as co-chair of the Pleasant Ridge Community Council Business Committee. Here in Columbus, Adam has been the Global Can'bassador for MadTree Brewing Co. since 2014, and serves as PTA recording secretary for Clinton Elementary where Harper attends the second grade.
Catie Luna Hookway | Treasurer
Catie has been a resident of Clintonville since 2009 and works as a budget analyst for the State of Ohio. Catie has an undergraduate degree in History from Ohio State, a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs, and a law degree from Moritz College of Law. As an undergraduate, she co-founded a student group, Students for Equal Access, to encourage high school students to consider college regardless of their economic background. After graduation, Catie spent the summer interning for Clintonville Go Public. She and her husband Alex Hookway, an Actuary at Nationwide Insurance, aren’t parents yet but think supporting public schools is essential to having a great community.
Jacqueline Broderick Patton
Jackie and her husband moved to Clintonville in 1986 and fell in love with the neighborhood. Their son Everett attends Dominion MS. Jackie holds a degree in nursing from Capital University and a MA in Workforce Development and Education from The Ohio State University. She is the Wellness Coordinator for Columbus City Schools, overseeing the Wellness Initiative for 52,000 students and 9,000 staff across 135 buildings in the district. Jackie is passionate about working to help people remain healthy and advocating for healthy environments, believing that where we work, live and play impacts our wellbeing.
Geoff Dew
For the past 10 years Geoff has worked directly with children running summer camps for the City of Hilliard Recreation & Parks Department. In those years his focus has been to build the character and knowledge of his campers outside of the classroom. His unique programming ideas allow individuals to engage in activities that encourage learning and growth. Geoff is the father of a seventh grader at Dominion Middle School and two children enrolled at Clinton Elementary. He and his wife Kari have lived in Clintonville since 2006.
Erin Johnson
Erin is lifelong Columbus native, aside from the four years she spent earning her B.S. in Kinesiology at Indiana University. She returned to earn her M.Ed. in Sport & Exercise Education at Ohio State and has been a Clintonville resident since 2007. She is the Education Coordinator and runs an afterschool program, F.A.N. (Fitness & Nutrition) Club, for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. For the last 20+ years, she has coached teams and trained clients in a variety of settings. She’s active on a number of committees in education, advocacy, and wellness, and she’s passionate about educational and afterschool activities for kids that advance wellness, provide opportunity, and strengthen communities.
She and her high school sweetheart, Ben, have two boys, August and Harris, at Clinton Elementary. You’ve probably seen them – either outside or eating – camping, hiking, playing soccer or baseball at Whetstone, eating tacos at Local Cantina, or in the beer section at Lucky’s.
Laura Kogan
Laura grew up in a small, rural town on the outskirts of San Diego, Ca. After her spouse landed a job at Ohio State, they kissed the Cali weather good bye and welcomed the four seasons with open arms. The slower pace of Ohio living, coupled with the cultural amenities offered in the Short North area, has made this duo residents for life. Laura works at Weinland Park Elementary. One of her sons is at Weinland Park ES, the other attends Dominion MS. She has been very impressed with both schools and encourages any parents living in the Short North area to contact her with questions.
Marque Majors
Marque moved to the Weinland Park neighborhood over five years ago with her husband and five sons. Two of her children attend Weinland Park ES in the first and third grades, one is a sixth grader at Dominion MS, one is a seventh grader at Columbus North International and the oldest is a sophomore at CAHS. Marque also finds time to be a Parent Consultant at Weinland Park ES and to partner with Community Properties of Ohio to run Family University. Passionate about the community and public education, Marque felt joining CGP was a natural fit. She is excited about working with such a great community and seeing all our students thrive.
Mike Moses
Mike grew up on W. North Broadway and attended North Broadway Children’s Center, Immaculate Conception, Crestview Middle School and Columbus East High before earning a BA at Kenyon College. Mike has lived with his wife Aafreen in South Clintonville since 2005. They have a son and daughter enrolled at Clinton Elementary. Mike has worked in research administration and grants management at The Ohio State University since 2004, presently in the College of Education & Human Ecology. He is passionate about family, community, education, social justice, art and vinyl. (And Triscuits – so good.)
David Precise
David grew up in Birmingham, AL and moved to Columbus in the Summer of 2014. He's worked for The Ohio State University Advancement team since his arrival, currently serving as a Senior Director of Development in the College of Arts and Sciences. His wife Suzanna Hyatt serves as the Associate Head Coach for Ohio State's synchronized swimming team. They have two children currently attending Clinton Elementary. David is an advocate for public education and happy to help with CGP!

Tasha Weaver
Tasha grew up in Clintonville and attended Indian Springs Elementary, Dominion Middle School, and Whetstone High School. She graduated from Denison University and earned her Master’s degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from The Ohio State University. Tasha worked at Nationwide Insurance for close to ten years, leading performance improvement and instructional design projects. Tasha is currently a consultant in the field of Organizational Psychology, working mainly with non-profit organizations. Tasha and her husband live in Clintonville with their two daughters, who attend Indian Springs Elementary and Dominion Middle School.
Katherine Pepperney
Katherine Pepperney spends her days in Clintonville, shuttling kids to and from Colerain Elementary, various sports practices, and checking out the offerings from the free little libraries around the community. She and her husband have lived in Clintonville for over ten years and are excited to be raising their three children here. Katherine is an active member of the PTA at Colerain Elementary, and believes in the importance of community support for our public school students, teachers and staff.
Karina Brown
Karina is a Clintonville Go Public founding board member. Karina is an executive communications professional with Columbus State Community College, and as a member of the president’s leadership team she manages initiatives to support the advancement of the college, reinforce student engagement, and build community awareness. She has lived in Clintonville for more than fifteen years with her husband, and she has two children who attend Dominion Middle School. In addition to her professional work and community organizing with Clintonville Go Public, Karina has coached the Clinton and Dominion chess teams, serves on the Dominion Site Based Council, and is pursuing a graduate degree in Education Administration from The Ohio State University.
Nate Rogers
Nate Rogers is a high-energy marketing executive with a passion for driving results by knowing the customer. He has made his mark by bringing fresh, outside perspectives to the organizations he serves. Nate’s experience is firmly rooted in retail and digital, with a solid foundation in brand strategy. He ran an e-commerce startup right out of college, has worked on the agency and client side of marketing, spent 9 years at Victoria’s Secret, and now works in Marketing at OhioHealth. Nate has his undergraduate degree and MBA from THE Ohio State University. He serves on the board of Clintonville Go Public, coaches youth soccer, and actively volunteers at his kids’ elementary school. He currently serves as Vice President of Marketing & Communications at OhioHealth with responsibility over Digital Marketing, Customer Relationship Marketing, Customer Research, Marketing Planning, and Neighborhood Care. Nate and his wife live in Clintonville with their two children, who attend Clinton Elementary and Dominion Middle School.
Dana Bagwell
Dana is a lifelong Clintonville resident, and a proud graduate of Whetstone High School. She has been married to her husband, Jon, since 2006, and their son attends Indian Springs Elementary School. In addition to her duties with Clintonville Go Public and as a stay-at-home mom volunteering with the PTA, she is the Vice President of Pets Without Parents, serves as Treasurer for Experience Clintonville, is a board member with the City of Columbus’ Mobile Food Vending Advisory Board, and is a member of the Dominion Middle School Site Based Council. She loves serving and strengthening her community and looks forward to seeing the positive growth in her neighborhood public schools.
Laura Kraus
Laura Kraus was one of the founding members of Clintonville Go Public. Laura’s background includes a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Miami University and more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration at Ohio State. She serves as Director for Program Development at I Know I Can, a non-profit that serves Columbus City Schools around college planning and access. She and her husband, Allen, have 2 children in Columbus City Schools.
Mary Pajor
Mary has been a Clintonville resident since 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati and currently works as an RN at a local hospital and as a School Nurse. She has a long history of community involvement and leadership including the Whetstone Community Recreation Council, the Clintonville Arts and Music Festival, PTA president at Clinton Elementary and Whetstone High, and is a member of the Clintonville Education Committee. She and her husband, Tom, have three children, Pete, Bert & Alice, who have attended Clinton, Dominion, and Whetstone schools.
Tiffany Grinstead
Tiffany has lived in Clintonville with her husband John and two girls since 2007. Tiffany is a graduate of The Ohio State University and vice president of investment management marketing for Nationwide. Tiffany has been active in the past as a Girl Scout Troop leader and activist in Results, a grassroots organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty. Tiffany is a member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbus in Clintonville, where she teaches Sunday School. She believes strongly in diverse public schools and the power of individuals to shape their world through action. Tiffany's youngest daughter attends Dominion Middle School, while her oldest daughter attends Whetstone High School. Both of her girls are proud alumni of Indian Springs Elementary School.
Gus Dahlberg
Gus Dahlberg is an attorney with the Columbus firm of Babbitt & Dahlberg LLP, certified as a Family Relations Law specialist by the Ohio State Bar Association and with a practice limited exclusively to domestic relations and family law. He is an active member of the Family Law Sections of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association. A graduate of Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College and the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Gus has been a resident of Clintonville and its schools since 2003. He and his wife Valerie have two children, one at Clinton Elementary and one at Dominion Middle School.
Cathy Kurila
Cathy Kurila is a practicing attorney and is currently the Unit Chief for the Common Pleas Division of the Franklin County Public Defender Office. A twenty-year resident of Clintonville, Cathy has been actively involved with Columbus City Schools since her daughter entered Clinton Elementary. A former member of the External Monitoring Committee of the Columbus City School Board, Cathy currently serves as Vice President of the WHS PTA, and is a member of Whetstone’s site based committee. She resides with her husband Bob, her daughter Maggie, a senior at Whetstone High School (Go Braves) and her cat, Cinnamon.
